DEMETRE SDOUGAS

Demetre received a BFA with honors from the Massachusetts College of Art in the mid-1980s. Collaborations between the US and Europe had a significant influence on his early filmmaking and photography. His later years as an artist were largely filled with painting and drawing. The artist’s work visually conveys ideas, concepts, and the imaginary, mixing dreamlike visuals, cubist elements, abstract forms, and figures. Art from the new millennium incorporates a mix of colors, shapes, and color-focused action painting. The new pieces are original and uninhibited, lacking a distinct style; they aim for a straightforward exchange between the observer and the art, utilizing mixed media. His current filmmaking research is dedicated to script production for historical dramas.
